Standing out from the crowd of journals that these audiences are bombarded with is an increasing challenge. UCLA allowed us the freedom to drive engagement and interest with graphically appealing communication. We hired and art directed photographers and illustrators that could deliver our message in both a clear and a visually stimulating way. Our use of color and typography further emphasized how the Department of Medicine at UCLA has engaged in world-class medical research, teaching, and patient care.
